Dr. Debbie graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1990. She was a vet in Logan, Utah gaining experience in exotic zoo animals, dogs, cats, ruminants, and horses. Fifteen years at Animal Clinic of Parker honed her skills in small animal diagnostics and surgery. Branching out and building her own mixed animal practice at SVS provides a much needed service to our area.
Whether it is a small, large, or exotic, Dr. Samhouri strives to help owners and their pets reach the highest quality of life possible.
She has owned or raised sheep, goats, poultry, rabbits, parrots, tortoises, horses, and many other animals. Membership in ADGA and ABGA offers Dr. Samhouri the knowledge of current trends in the industry. She is an avid supporter of 4-H in Elbert County. These experiences have taught her the fundamentals of husbandry in addition to medicine.
Behind the vet is an amazing woman who loves life. She is the proud mother of 5 children and 7 grandchildren. She and her husband, Adam, have been married for over 30 years. When she’s not in the clinic, she can be found in the barn feeding her Boer and Nubian goats, or in her garden, or riding her horse. She’s a hard working woman who loves working with animals in any capacity.

She is an invaluable asset to our practice bringing expertise, efficiency, and compassion. We are so grateful to have such an amazing technician.
Terilyn has a special passion for animal behavior (including low restraint handling), dental and anesthesia procedures. At home, she has two cats- Shadow and Cuatro, an energetic Border Collie- Molly, a Colorado Mountain Dog -Olaf, and a goat- Pebbles. In addition, she raises laying hens and pigs.
Outside of work, Terilyn spends most of her time with her son, Reid; her daughter, Ashlyn; second son, Noah; and her amazing husband, Kent. When she has free time, she volunteers in the children’s ministry at church, hiking, gardening, and adventure on road trips.

At SVS, you'll find Adam working behind the scenes as office manager and secretary. You'll notice Adam by his blunt opinions and plentiful teasing. Adam completed a bachelors degree in civil engineering at BYU, then went on to get a master's degree in project management from Utah State University. He is always ready to lend a hand in a variety of capacities such as tech support, after-hours vet assistant, or simply lightening the mood with a sarcastic comment. Adam is a tremendous help behind the scenes to keep SVS running.
Living with a vet lends itself to being chronically surrounded by a plethora of animals. He helps Dr. Debbie take care of their menagerie of critters, but his favorites are his parson's russell dog, Katie, and the African grey parrots, Chuck and Ramah.
Outside of SVS, Adam works as an instructional designer at Regis University. We are grateful he carves time out of his busy day to help us. He and Dr. Debbie have been married for over 30 years and were blessed with 5 children and 7 grandchildren. As a world traveler, he has been to over 20 countries. When he's not traveling for work or pleasure, he enjoys finding excuses to use his tractor, watching dated TV shows, and cooking wonderful meals.
Anisa was a veterinary assistant for SVS for 15 years. You might not see much of her now as this 2023 CSU alumni is practicing as a dairy cattle veterinarian in New Mexico. She continues to manage SVS's online presence and you maybe lucky enough to have her as your doctor when she is visiting home. She is licensed in CO, NM, and TX.
Growing up raising club lambs and goats, Anisa gained a passion for livestock. She has worked on many small farms and ranches as a ranch hand for a wide variety of animals. She loves all the critters, but particularly enjoys working with cattle.
On the rare occasion when she's not working, Anisa loves riding horses, reading, running, and hanging out with her chameleon.
